Modern times are the times of technology where the computer is one of the basic necessities. There is a large range of laptops and computers available in the market. Each brand is coming up with latest features by bringing the advanced technology to reach the top position. Computers of every kind deliver heat as they expend power. If this warmth crosses the farthest point, the computer will shut down and this overheating could also result in a fire if the system does not have thermal check capacity.

Role of CPU Fan

The CPU fan here becomes essential as it keeps the temperature under control by bringing the cooler air into the PC framework and keeps it from overheating. Lenovo Customer Support, therefore, has provided the feature of adjusting the speed of CPU fans.

Steps to adjust the speed of a CPU fan.

  1. Download and Install the recent BIOS update

  2. Turn off your laptop in order to refresh

  3. Turn On again, Press and Hold the Delete Key exactly when you see the Boot Screen. It will open the page for BIOS settings

  4. From the BIOS Menu, Click on the “System Monitor”

  5. Select the option for “Fan Control” and choose “CPU Fan Speed Control” so that you can set the speed according to your choice.

  6. If the setting is on “Automatic”, deselect it and change it to “Manual” and type the Percentage to increase or decrease the speed.

  7. Finally, Press the F10 button on the keyboard and Restart the laptop.

The CPU fan of your laptop will be faster this time. These steps will work only on the new models of Lenovo laptops because this feature was not there in the old computers.
